Giving Back
To Our Oceans

The Charter lounge promise:

As sailors and ocean lovers there is nothing more precious than the seas we sail on, stare at and admire each day, so to see the destruction and devastation our species is causing can be truly horrifying.

As our promise to the ocean The Charter Lounge donates a percentage of ‘all’ sales to NPOs and NGOs that are working to protect, clean and rebuild our oceans each and every day.

Two Oceans Aquarium Education Foundation

“In 2018, the Two Oceans Aquarium founded the Two Oceans Aquarium Education Foundation in an effort to realise our vision of healthy and abundant oceans for life. The Education Foundation is a registered non-profit public benefit organisation, and through it, we are able to reach and have an impact on even more people, communities and habitats with our environmental educationconservation and marine science research programmes.”

Both Tracy and Kelli are volunteers at the Two Oceans Aquarium in the Turtle Rescue & Rehab Centre. As well as being known as “the turtle mom’ Tracy has also helped to organise the annual Turtle Rescue Road Trip - a very successful road trip along the south coast of South Africa with the goal of educating communities and building a rescue network for turtle hatchlings that wash up along our shores.

The Coral Restoration Foundation:

Founded in response to the wide-spread loss of the dominant coral species on the Florida Reef Tract, this foundation has become the largest coral reef restoration organisation in the world.

They have developed a method for “farming” and “out-planting” colonies of new coral by hanging finger-sized fragments of these corals to grow on Coral Trees™, they can produce colonies that are large enough to be out-planted in just six to nine months.

To date, they have now planted more than 66,000 corals back onto the Florida Reef Tract.
